What does “Kaldí” mean?
Kaldí is Kaldes, our last name, in Greek. Over time, we believe, Kaldí will mean simple yet sophisticated tastes of the Mediterranean.

Where was the amazing background image taken - I feel like I’m on vacation?
That is a picture taken in August 2010 from the pebbly beaches of Aghios Isidoros looking at the town of Plomari on the Greek island of Lesvos. In fact, all the Kaldí product photos were taken in August 2010 by Peter Kaldes, a co-founder.

Where is Lesvos? And is that really the name of the island?
Yes, it is. Lesvos, a.k.a Mytilini (the name of the island’s capital city), is the 3rd largest island in Greece. It’s located in the Aegean Sea, near Turkey. Find out more about Lesvos here!
